The proposed development primarily consists of a 3 storey extension to the existing 3 storey nursing home. As per the previously granted planning application Ref D11A/0101 the additional floorspace is predominantly over 2 floors at first and second floor level, with new kitchen and staff facilities and other ancillary facilities provided at ground level. The total number of beds shall increase from 124 to 190 beds. There will also be alterations to land profile, retaining walls and landscape gardens, along with internal alterations to existing layout and other ancillary accommodation and all other associated site works. The proposed proposed extension will have a total floor area of 3404 sq/m.
