The proposed works falling within the scope of this application are noted as follows; • Realignment of the compartment wall between the proposed unit and the existing spine corridor. A new partition wall is to be formed aligning along the rear of the Store/HMC. New cross corridor wall and FD60s doors are to be provided to complete the compartmentation. • Fire remedial works to existing blockwork wall to provide new compartment lines at cross corridor doors D12 and D21. New FD60s doors to be installed. • Reconfiguration of the Jack and Jill sanitary facilities between Wards 1 & 2 and Wards 3 & 4 to provide an en-suite per ward. • Alterations to the dining room and smoking room at the western end of the ward to provide for new Reception/ clerical admin, CNM2 Office, and ancillary storerooms. • Break out a new final exit doorway with min 1150mm clear width of opening and as such provide direct access to outside on the western end of the ward direct form the be circulation corridor. External pathways are to be altered to allow for new ramp and doorway designated as an ambulance entrance/exit. • Amalgamation of Side Room 2 & 3 to provide a single room with en-suite facilities. • Amalgamation of Side Room 1 and adjoining room to provide a single room with en-suite facilities. • Removal of wall in part at the existing Nurses station • Realignment of doors into the Dirty Linen, Store/HMC • Replacement of existing doors opening off the protected bedroom corridor with new certified fire doorsets. Cross doors will all be replaced with new certified fire doorsets. • Stripping of the ceiling in the flat roof sections of the premises such as to permit top of wall to flat roof the be appropriately fire stopped. Non fire rated aesthetic ceiling to be re-instated. • Floor finishes to be replaced with new flooring. • Thermal improvement works to the ward are proposed with the external cavity walls to be pumped and flat roof sections to be overlined with a new insulated roof covering. • Existing sky lights over the circulation corridors to be replaced with new insulated upstands and new sky lights
