Refurbishment and extension of the existing Maldron Hotel, Sandy Road, Galway consisting of modifications to the ground floor, first, second, third and fourth floors providing a total 63 no. additional bedrooms, 6 no. meeting rooms, public toilets at ground floor, reconfiguration of the existing kitchen/bar areas, and, including all necessary and ancillary accommodation to service same, alterations to existing elevations consisting of new external cladding at ground floor and the addition of a fire exit door at fourth floor including all necessary site and ancillary services. The proposed works will be broken into 3 seperate phases, consisting of • Phase 1) completion of new reconfigured kitchen at ground floor • Phase 2) completion of 45no. new bedrooms to the SW Wing at ground, first and second floors, 6no. new meeting rooms and toilets at ground floor • Phase 3) completion of 18no. new bedrooms to first, second, third and fourth floors in main central circular ‘barrel’ core.
