Construction of a single storey drive-thru restaurant with kitchen, stores, internal seating and takeaway facilities as well as drive-thru including a payment booth and collection booth, a service yard with raised flat roof, 18 car spaces, turning area, vehicular access point, drainage works and associated site works at a vacant site at Market Green, Knockgriffin, Midleton, Co. Cork. The construction will consist of traditional concrete/block loadbearing walls to the main central section of the building with external cavity walls in this area. The front glazed dining area will be steel frame, and the rear service yard areas will also be steel frame with a timber finish. The service yard areas are effectively open air by virtue of the fact that a 500mm gap has been allowed for on the western and northern elevations. With reference to Table 0.1 of Technical Guidance Document B the proposed development is classified as Purpose Group 5 – “Assembly and Recreation”.
