First & Second Floor Finlay Building, Belvedere College, Dublin 1, Due to the historic nature of the building (subject to significant conservation constraints) BB7 Fire Ltd has now been commissioned to undertake a performance-based fire engineering analysis to demonstrate compliance and outline proposed approach to comply with part B3 of Building Regulations as outlined in the granted Fire Safety Certificate (Ref FSC1374/22) for the upgraded compartment floors and structure supporting them. The aim of the fire engineering report (included in the Appendix A) is to demonstrate that the fire protection proposed for the upgraded compartment floor and existing & new steel structure supporting them will greatly improve the fire safety within the building from the existing situation and, in addition, will be able to maintain fire and structural integrity for 60 minutes as specified by Part B3 of Building Regulations. The proposed upgrade works being carried out to satisfy the above are summarized on Section 2.1 of the fire engineering analysis (Appendix A).
