Description:
Works to return the existing 3 storey house, a protected structure (Ref. 7002), from its current use as a multi-occupancy dwelling to its original use as a single family home, exempted development under Class 14(e) of the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001.
In addition to works approved under Section 5 Declaration No. 0242/14 the works will consist of:
(a) the replacement of the existing double-glazed uPVC windows with double glazed painted timber sash windows.
(b) the construction of a single storey flat-roofed extension to the rear involving the removal of a section of existing wall on the ground floor to form a larger opening.
(c) A new opening in the wall to connect the upper landing to a new hallway on the first floor and a new hot press to be provided in that space.
(d) removal of part of existing railings and granite plinth, the railings to be reused in a similarly detailed gate in order to provide a new off-street car parking space in the front garden and associated landscaping.
